Voice of Hope

LP set with two 180g vinyls in a high-quality gatefold package.

In 2023 Deutsche Grammophon celebrates a wonderful milestone: its 125th birthday. To mark the occasion the Yellow Label makes a selection of LPs available on vinyl for the first time ever.

12 LPs for 12 months of celebrations.

Including legendary recordings by Daniil Trifonov, Hélène Grimaud, Hilary Hahn, Jan Lisiecki and  many others.

About this release:

FROM PAIN TO HOPE: BEAUTY

“Beauty will save the world,” wrote Dostoyevsky, which is the claim that Camille Thomas makes throughout this record. Her recording illustrates this, and it is structured like an archipelago surrounding the Cello Concerto composed by Fazil Say. Camille Thomas gave its premiere in 2018 and her album, spanning the work of ten composers, among them Antonin Dvořák, Max Bruch, John Williams and Richard Wagner,  allows us to travel the path from pain to hope.
