Complete Decca Recordings

Renowned French pianist Pascal RogĂ© celebrates his 75th birthday on April 6, 2026. To mark the occasion, a box set containing all of the artist's Decca recordings will be released on 43 CDs in the original cover design. His recording career began early: as an exclusive artist in the 1970s and 1980s, he played the solo part in a highly acclaimed recording of Giordano's opera “Fedora” and recorded a magnificent Liszt album at the age of 18. He then devoted himself intensively to the music of Ravel, Debussy, Satie, and Poulenc. Concertos, chamber music, solo piano music, and songs by composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, Saint-SaĂ«ns, and FaurĂ© are part of his repertoire. Many of these recordings have not been physically available for years. Collectors can also look forward to two previously unreleased works: Brahms' Second Piano Sonata and a selection of preludes by Japanese composer Takashi Yoshimatsu. Also released for the first time by Decca is a recording of Mozart concertos with Raymond Leppard conducting. The booklet contains a fascinating essay by piano specialist Jeremy Nicholas, which also includes the pianist's memories of the making of these recordings.
